  117. 2.2 PIPING INSULATION
  118. NOTE ** Lav-Guard components will fit all 1-1/4 inch (32
  119.         mm) and 1-1/2 inch (38 mm) diameter cast brass or
  120.         tubular waste piping components and all 3/8 inch (9
  121.         mm) and 1/2 inch (12 mm) diameter supply piping
  122.         components; they will not fit Schedule 40 plastic P-
  123.         traps.
  124.  
  125.     A.  Piping Safety Covers:
  126.         1.  Acceptable products:  Truebro Lav-Guard.
  127.         2.  Characteristics:  One-piece vinyl components, minimum
  128.             1/8 inch (3 mm) wall thickness, with internal ribs to
  129.             provide air space between piping and piping
  130.             insulation jacket, molded to receive manufacturer's
  131.             snap-clip fasteners.
  132.         3.  Vinyl material:  Impact-resistant and stain-resistant
  133.             molded closed-cell anti-microbial vinyl compound, UV-
  134.             stable, non-fading, non-yellowing: having the
  135.             following performance characteristics:
  136.             a.  Burning characteristics, when tested in
  137.                 accordance with ASTM D 635:  0 seconds Average
  138.                 Time of Burning (ATB), 0 mm Area of Burning
  139.                 (AEB).
  140.             b.  Thermal conductivity, when tested in accordance
  141.                 with ASTM C 177:  K-value 1.17 (2.02 metric
  142.                 equivalent).
  143.             c.  Indentation hardness, when tested in accordance
  144.                 with ASTM D 2240:  60 Shore A, minimum.
  145.         4.  Trap assembly cover:  Three-piece assembly, with
  146.             removable clean-out nut enclosure.
  147.         5.  Angle stop covers:  Formed with hinged cap for access
  148.             to valve without requiring cover removal.
  149.         6.  Configurations:  In accordance with manufacturer's
  150.             product data for project piping configurations
  151.             indicated on drawings.

  162.         mm) by 18-inch (457 mm) wall-hung china lavatories.

  164.         1.  Acceptable product:  Truebro Lav-Shield.
  165.         2.  Characteristics:  One-piece rigid molded vinyl
  166.             enclosure, minimum 1/8 inch (3 mm) wall thickness,
  167.             factory-punched for manufacturer's wall fasteners.
  168.         3.  Vinyl material:  Impact-resistant and stain-resistant
  169.             molded closed-cell vinyl, having the following
  170.             performance characteristics:
  171.             a.  Burning characteristics, when tested in
  172.                 accordance with ASTM D 635:  0 seconds Average
  173.                 Time of Burning (ATB), 0 mm Area of Burning
  174.                 (AEB).
  175.             b.  Flammability:  UL 94 V-O rating.
  176.             c.  Indentation hardness, when tested in accordance
  177.                 with ASTM D 2240:  69 Shore D, minimum.

  192.         mm) and 42-inch (1066 mm) widths available.
  193.     A.  Basin Piping Enclosure:
  194.         1.  Acceptable product:  Truebro Basin Guard.
  195.         2.  Characteristics:  One-piece rigid molded vinyl
  196.             enclosure, minimum 0.093 inch (2.3 mm) wall
  197.             thickness, factory-punched flanges for fasteners.
  198.         3.  Vinyl material:  Impact-resistant and stain-resistant
  199.             molded closed-cell vinyl, having the following
  200.             performance characteristics:
  201.             a.  Burning characteristics, when tested in
  202.                 accordance with ASTM D 635:  0 seconds Average
  203.                 Time of Burning (ATB), 0 mm Area of Burning
  204.                 (AEB).
  205.             b.  Boca Basic Building Code Fire Rating:  Class 1.
  206.             c.  Indentation hardness, when tested in accordance
  207.                 with ASTM D 2240:  69 Shore D, minimum.
